A-1 Concrete Leveling Raises Children’s Spirits at Touch-A-Truck 2017

The 2017 Touch-A-Truck event raised money for the Explore & More Children’s Museum in their mission of enriching the lives of children with support from A-1 Concrete Leveling.

Sunday June 11th was Buffalo NY’s annual Touch-A-Truck day of fun for children of all ages. Held in The Buffalo News parking lot, adjacent to Canalside, families brought their kids to experience first-hand the excitement of sitting in the driver’s seat of a multitude of diverse construction, emergency and specialty vehicles, including A-1 Concrete Leveling’s newest slab-jacking truck. The kids put on their very own hard hats, climbed behind the wheel and were excited to learn just what goes into concrete leveling, also known as mud-jacking or slab-jacking. A-1 Concrete Leveling injects a special limestone slurry underneath preexisting concrete to raise it back into place when it was previously sunk or unlevel. Because it contains no artificial chemicals and avoids unnecessary concrete replacement by keeping the original slab intact, the process is not only Earth-friendly, but today it was kid-friendly as well!
The annual Touch-A-Truck event held in Buffalo is a charitable event that benefits a good cause, and this year, all proceeds for this event went to aid the construction of the Explore & More Children’s Museum. The museum will provide a welcoming environment for play and creative learning, featuring tactile learning exhibits, fun activities and programs, and will inspire imagination in the hearts of children. For such a noble cause, dozens of local companies offered their help – and trucks – to establish this Touch-A-Truck event as a welcoming place for children who dream of something bigger. Especially if their dreams include big concrete leveling trucks!

The event was a major success that attracted countless happy families with its fun and interactive attractions, food, and unique activities. A-1 Concrete Leveling is proud to have contributed to the 2017 Touch-A-Truck, helped to create so many happy childhood memories for future great minds, and will continue to raise spirits and bring smiles to children’s faces in the future.
