A-1 Appreciates Exceptional Customer Compliment!

A-1 Concrete Leveling routinely receives compliments from our customers. They call and tell us about their positive experiences. They tell our crews when their project has been completed. They visit us at the home show years after we completed their projects to tell us that it still looks great. In the busy world we live in it is rare that we receive a letter. This letter, sent to us last November in reference to work completed during the Summer, was received with much appreciation from Mr. Robert R. Radel. As we finally and thankfully begin our season, we are grateful for Mr. Radel's time and his expression of satisfaction with the work we completed at his home. This letter is published in full entirety with Mr. Radel's express permission. Thank you, Mr. Radel!

A-1 Concrete Leveling New York State Travel Plaza Projects

A-1 Concrete Leveling was proud to be able to assist the New York State Thruway Authority in completing projects at all of the travel plazas along the I-90 from Rochester to Pennsylvania State. These projects saved government dollars, was more convenient to plaza visitors than a replacement project, was immediately usable after project completion, and increased visitor safety. A-1 appreciates NYS for recognizing the value concrete leveling provides as a solution to resolving sunken concrete issues. Check out our video which was just posted to YouTube!

A-1 Concrete Leveling Saves Porch from Sinking into the Abyss & Property Management Company Thousands of $$$

This week we had an opportunity to provide our service to another property management company by saving their existing concrete at three different locations in one day!!!  Sunken concrete along a foundation will send the water to the foundation which creates hydrostatic pressure that transfers to the wall and over time can cause very costly damage. You can see from the picture below that not only did A-1 Concrete Leveling eliminate a trip hazard but raising the slab will help save the foundation. This is just a small sample of our work; every month we raise hundreds of slabs which is why we can say A-1 Concrete Leveling is Helping Raise New York State to Higher Ground...

A-1 Concrete Leveling raises sunken concrete slabs using patented equipment.  Raising slabs back to its original position saves 50%-70% versus replacement and is environmentally friendly.  "We Pump It Up!

How Long Does Concrete Leveling Last???

Over the past 9 years I have completed almost 6000 estimates and we have raised over 30,000 slabs.  One of the most common questions I’m asked is “How long does concrete leveling last?”  Good questions often have more than one answer. Let me start with the Before-After-Now photo from this year which is 9 years after the project was completed and you can decide for yourself how long concrete leveling lasts.

The answer is years but it depends on a number of variables.  It is similar to asking how long car tires last. Well, it depends.  Are they being used on a race car or grandma’s car?  Are they used in rough or snowy conditions?  Is the driver aggressive and flooring it every time they come off a stop light or is every drive like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the countryside?

If the concrete is caulked and any drainage issues are resolved A-1 Concrete Leveling’s work will last for many many years.  We use high density limestone based slurry which fills voided areas below slabs and generates the pressure to raise those sunken slabs back to their original position.  One need not look further than the endurance of the Pyramids, also made of limestone, to know it has the potential to outlast an Egyptian Dynasty or many nasty Northeastern winters.

A-1 Concrete Leveling flexes its leveling muscles in Wilson New York……

A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division is “Helping to Raise Western New York to Higher Ground” by raising concrete that has settled over the years back to original position.  When it comes to leveling it’s critical to have the best equipment but our patented equipment only is only half of the story; it also requires the best people to make the magic happen. In the span of a week we completed two pool deck projects in Wilson, NY both had a unique set of variables.

After completing over 2400 projects in the last 8 years the feeling of bringing value and successfully solving another concrete issue never gets old but these particular projects brought a unique type of satisfaction. It was an opportunity to test our skill and creativity with the pumping system. Any skill worth having is a skill worth testing to ensure continued improvement….

A-1 Concrete Leveling Preserves Concrete for those that Preserve Memories….

A-1 Concrete Leveling has been extending the life of concrete in Buffalo, NY since 2007 by raising over 15,000 slabs.  Raising the concrete slabs also re-establishes the sub-base which greatly reduces future movement ensuring the concrete will be around for years.  Last week we had the opportunity to raise 1500 square feet of interior concrete at Blossom Chapel in West Seneca, NY.  The project took the better part of two days and 7 yards of limestone slurry to raise the slab 2”-3” back to its original position.

Blossom Chapel has been serving the Buffalo, NY area for over 40 years by providing a variety of funeral services; therefore minimizing the mess and downtime is critical to allowing them to serve the community. Without concrete leveling those slabs would have been one of the next funerals at Blossom Chapel when it was torn out and replaced.  Serving our customers by providing value is “what we do” and serving those that serve the community is always a pleasure!  http://www.blossomchapelsfuneralhomeny.com/

For those customers that are commercial/industrial facility managers or buyers A-1 Concrete Leveling will be attending the 2013 Facilities Management Expo!  Visit us at booth #303.

The Expos is at the Hearthstone Manor in Depew, NY, On Thursday, November 7th, from 11:00AM to 5:00PM.

The ground below this concrete gets a first class upgrade when A-1 Concrete Leveling raised these sunken concrete slabs….

At A-1 Concrete Leveling we have been “Helping Raise Buffalo to Higher Ground” and we have had thousands of great opportunities to bring value, technology and expertise to Western New York during the past 7 years. Raising sunken concrete through the process of pressure injecting “more stabile ground” below the concrete and floating the existing concrete back to its original position without costly replacement is where value, technology and expertise get together and hang-out.  I never get tired of the process of saving existing concrete. Science has extended the average human life-span; why wouldn’t you use science to extend the life of your concrete?

A-1 Concrete Leveling does its part to make the streets a safer place!!!

As you may have heard A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division is “Helping to Raise Buffalo to Higher Ground” by lifting sunken concrete back to original position.  A-1 Concrete Leveling recently completed a series of sidewalk and walkway concrete lifting projects for the North Tonawanda Department of Public Works (New York).  The before and after photos give a sample of what A-1 Concrete Leveling can do to make the municipal sidewalks a safer place to walk.

By raising the concrete slabs that had settled back to original position the residence of North Tonawanda had a drier and safer sidewalk to walk on and the municipality saved money versus replacing the concrete.

Concrete Leveling Walks the Straight and Narrow

As a company it is always positive to hear feedback from your customers and it is particularly nice when the feedback reinforces the company values.  Listed below is a customer testimonial from a project A-1 Concrete Leveling completed this summer.  During the estimate the customer, Craig J. in Amherst, NY, enlightened me about how his organization has a “a board of business cards” on which employees post cards from local companies they have hired.  The card moves toward the front of the “Good” board as others have positive feedback and vise-versa if the company does not perform well.

Below are comments from an email we received from Craig after we completed his project.

"I wanted to make sure to drop you an email to thank you and your company for a GREAT job on the sidewalk and especially on the A/C pad on the side of my house.

Thanks again for a great job. It is nice to have a contractor that you can trust!"

And below is the response we received from Craig when we asked if we could post his comments on our blog.

"YES, of course you can use my email for positive feedback on your blog.  I will move your card to the first row of the GOOD side of our bulletin board at police headquarters."

Thanks for your business and positive feedback, Craig; it is much appreciated!

A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division (Buffalo, NY) Helps Raise Higher Education to Higher Ground…

A-1 Goes Back to School at UB

This link above is a video of A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division (Buffalo, NY) raising sunken concrete at the University of Buffalo during the Fall of 2010. This was A-1 Concrete Leveling’s second time back at U of B using our patented concrete pumping system. By raising over 120 concrete slabs, the University of Buffalo saved money, the environment (versus replacing) and down-time.  A-1 raised 120 slabs above grade without slowing down UB’s student population.  Check out how A-1 Concrete Leveling provided another concrete solution in Buffalo.

A Slight Variation on Catch & Release...

Yesterday Pete was at an estimate for MJ Peterson in the City of Buffalo and some tenants approached the property manager he was with to ask for assistance helping an animal who had gotten his head stuck in a plastic jar. Looking at the video below, I am not sure what this animal is (it kind of looks like a groundhog?), but I am sure he was just looking for some food and maybe there was a bit left at the bottom of the empty jar, and, voila, stuck! The tenants said that the animal had been running in the street and they were concerned that he would get hit by a car. The property manager got his employee to use a tool to hold the animal while they pulled the container off his head to set him free. A-1 Concrete Leveling is not just helping raise Buffalo to higher ground, we are also, in conjunction with our friends at MJ Peterson, helping save animals from food-search related injuries.
