A-1 Concrete Leveling raises slabs and creates a safe walking environment for apartment complex…..

During the last month of our season we had an opportunity to provide our service to another property management company by saving their existing concrete at four different work areas in one day!!!   A-1 Concrete Leveling raised over 100 slabs and 2500 square feet of sunken concrete.  The project was completed in less than 1 day using our patented equipment and expert personnel which means the residents had minimal inconvenience and same day use. You can see from the pictures below that not only did A-1 Concrete Leveling eliminate trip hazards but raising the slabs saved thousands of dollars.

This is just a small sample of our work; every year we raise thousands of slabs which is why we can say A-1 Concrete Leveling is Helping Raise New York State to Higher Ground... Raising slabs back to its original position saves 50%-70% versus replacement and is environmentally friendly.  "We Pump It Up!"

Seneca Niagara Casino Gambles on A-1 Concrete Leveling and Wins Level Concrete….

The Seneca Niagara Casino had a series of walkway slabs and steps that were not level and decided to roll the dice on Western New York’s leading concrete leveler to create a safe walking environment. The casino’s project was not the most straight-forward but with ten years of concrete leveling experience up our sleeve we were up to the challenge.  Take a look for yourself and try the A-1 Advantage!

How Long Does Concrete Leveling Last???

Over the past 9 years I have completed almost 6500 estimates and we have raised over 35,000 slabs.  One of the most common questions I’m asked is “How long does concrete leveling last?”  Good questions often have more than one answer. Let me start with the Before-After-Now photo from this week which is 9 years after the project was completed and you can decide for yourself how long concrete leveling lasts.

T
he answer is years but it depends on a number of variables.  It is similar to asking how long car tires last. Well, it depends.  Are they being used on a race car or grandma’s car?  Are they used in rough or snowy conditions?  Is the driver aggressive and flooring it every time they come off a stop light or is every drive like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the countryside?

If the concrete is caulked and any drainage issues are resolved A-1 Concrete Leveling’s work will last for many many years.  We use high density limestone based slurry which fills voided areas below slabs and generates the pressure to raise those sunken slabs back to their original position.  One need not look further than the endurance of the Pyramids, also made of limestone, to know it has the potential to outlast an Egyptian Dynasty or many nasty Northeastern winters.

A-1 Concrete Leveling Saves Porch from Sinking into the Abyss & Property Management Company Thousands of $$$

This week we had an opportunity to provide our service to another property management company by saving their existing concrete at three different locations in one day!!!  Sunken concrete along a foundation will send the water to the foundation which creates hydrostatic pressure that transfers to the wall and over time can cause very costly damage. You can see from the picture below that not only did A-1 Concrete Leveling eliminate a trip hazard but raising the slab will help save the foundation. This is just a small sample of our work; every month we raise hundreds of slabs which is why we can say A-1 Concrete Leveling is Helping Raise New York State to Higher Ground...

A-1 Concrete Leveling starts 2016 by extending the life of a driveway…

Most customers know that A-1 Concrete Leveling uses its patented equipment to raise sunken concrete but did you know that concrete can be stabilized before significant settling occurs?  Over time the sub-base below the concrete become eroded due to compaction and drainage in conjunction with the freeze-thaw cycle.

Those that have purchased new concrete over the last few years know that the cost of concrete can practically match the cost of a new car. Would you throw out your car if it needed maintenance? Do you perform preventative maintenance to your car prior to it having an issue? Do you have money to throw away?

A-1 Concrete Leveling’s system uses the counterweight of the concrete, in conjunction with its tensile strength, pushes against the ground trying to find solid ground to support the weight of the concrete. By doing so the concrete is not entirely resting on solid ground and is supported by an unstable soil surface which will increasingly be an unsuitable base for the concrete. This will result in cracking, movement, sinking, further instability and increased speed of deterioration. This deteriorating situation can be stopped or reversed by pressure injecting our limestone-based slurry below the concrete through 1” in diameter holes; the sub-base is thereby re-established and the life of the concrete is effectively extended.

The fact is the smart money move is on saving the existing concrete before it costs really big money to replace! This is especially true for our corporate, industrial and municipal customers where “downtime” is more costly than just the cost of replacement. Pressurizing soil and voids below the concrete is preventative maintenance just like changing the oil or brake pads on your car; it makes financial sense and cents. Extend the life of your concrete with concrete leveling! We look forward to working with you soon.

A-1 Concrete Leveling 2016 National Franchise Meeting

This year’s A-1 Concrete Leveling National Franchise Meeting was held January 18th-20th in Ohio last week.  There were a variety of topics and presentations including new trucks with new power packs, project management software, marketing ideas, a foam leveling demonstration, POS improvements and best practices.

The awards dinner was held at the MAPS Air Museum with a collection of restored historic aircraft which we had all to ourselves for the evening. The winner of the Grover Miller Award for Innovative Service was won by Jeff Hagstrom from the Canton Division (pictured below). Grover Miller was the Founder of A-1 Concrete Leveling and inventor of our patented pumping equipment who passed away in September of 2013. The award carries on the legacy of a great man!!! Congratulations Jeff; it was well deserved!!!

As always, our thanks to A-1 Corporate for providing a beneficial meeting! It was great to get together with our fellow A-1 franchise owners for business and fun.  There is no better way to grow and improve than to share ideas and information in a group setting. Now it is time to get out there in 2016 and Pump it Up in Buffalo New York.

It’s December in Buffalo and A-1 Concrete Leveling is still “Helping Raise Buffalo to Higher Ground”…..

A-1 is still going strong this December due to the warm temperatures Buffalo is experiencing. You have been busy thinking of others on your list this holiday season so why not give yourself the gift of a raised and stabilized driveway? Santa would approve!

A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division (Buffalo, NY) Helps Raise Higher Education to Higher Ground…

A-1 Goes Back to School at UB

This link above is a video of A-1 Concrete Leveling Western New York Division (Buffalo, NY) raising sunken concrete at the University of Buffalo during the Fall of 2010. This was A-1 Concrete Leveling’s second time back at U of B using our patented concrete pumping system. By raising over 120 concrete slabs, the University of Buffalo saved money, the environment (versus replacing) and down-time.  A-1 raised 120 slabs above grade without slowing down UB’s student population.  Check out how A-1 Concrete Leveling provided another concrete solution in Buffalo.

Welcome 2010 Concrete Leveling Season!

And the concrete leveling begins! Yesterday marked our first project for the 2010 season. This 200SF rear patio was sinking 2"-3" and completely stressing out the homeowner. At the end of yesterday, he was the happy owner of a raised and re-established patio.

Get the grill out!!!
